All our facilitators are passionate about Science and bring lots of interesting and diverse skills to our programme. Our programme is closely connected to NZ Playcentre and their philosophy around learning through play. Each session is set up to enable student-centered experiential learning supported by our Facilitators and we always have enough equipment for each child to be able to work together at the same time.

What do children do at Little Scientists School Holiday Programmes?Little Scientists offer a wide range of age-based science activities, such as propulsion with rockets, acids and bases, electronics, weather, crystals, space, food science, magnets, bubbles…the list goes on! If your child has a particular interest, we are happy to try and incorporate this into one of our science sessions, so please let us know. We have a big focus on working together as a team. This is carried over into free time too, when we encourage children to help each other out, be inclusive and be aware of each other. Working as a team does not mean working together at all times; we acknowledge some children prefer to work alone or in small groups, so our style of teamwork means being aware of your group, helping out and being kind. We have recently partnered with House of Science, which is a Charitable Trust that is passionate about inspiring young New Zealanders' interest in science through tangible learning experiences.
